Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She is an ESPN anchor for news and also hosts SportsNation often. She began working for ESPN in the year 2016. The child of television journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was bi-lingual since nine years old. It was a helpful skill that helped her secure her first job working as an assistant to the producer with Univision in Miami and allowed her to be a part of the production team for national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. The next position she was offered was a Sports Reporter at The CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. She moved in 2009 to Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as a news reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Reports on her show covered immigration issues drugs, immigration, as well as others on the Texas and Mexico border. Also, she was a Spanish reporter for the newscast of 5 p.m., an anchor and reporter of the newscast of nine p.m. on English and again also a Spanish reporter from 10 p.m. In addition, she was frequently asked to serve as an anchor for sports and weather. Later, she was anchor and reporter at Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. Within a brief time her father divorced from her mother and she was subsequently remarried by 1995 naval architect named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in the year 2006. The summer of the year 2006, Antonietta took one week with her sibling in Canton Ohio. The older Collins girl was employed at the time. At the time of her senior year in high school and yet with a clear idea about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta visited at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her preferences. As it turned out she loved the campus and they were offering the kind of program she was searching for. After graduation, she enrolled at the university as an undergraduate major in media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor - was also the manager at WRMU (91.1 FM), where she belonged. Her professor urged her to believe in herself and was deeply touched by his enthusiasm for journalism.
